about

A native of Israel, Daniel Meron succeeds in expressing the diversity of influences from his homeland in his music. Nourished by the tradition of Jazz improvisation, but recognizing the value of a solid tune, Daniel finds a way to feature his unique playing style in brilliant compositions that are both sophisticated and lyrical, communicating vivid stories and emotions to the listener. The album features Daniel’s Trio and Quintet with 60 minutes of original music. The nine compositions are brought to life by the talented Ryo Noritake on drums, Noam Wiesenberg on the bass, Jesse Scheinin on tenor sax, and Jeremy Sinclair on the trumpet. In playing together for over a year, the group had managed to achieve a unified sound while keeping elements of spontaneity. This makes for a wonderfully diverse and energetic album. Currently based in New York, Daniel is performing with selections from his debut album in venues across the East Coast. He is also performing as a sideman and is already working on new material. Keep updated with Daniel’s music, and enjoy jazz that is captivating, cutting edge, and simply beautiful.
